Roman Short Sword
As long as there have been swords there have been Short
Swords. Almost universally, as cultures developed the
sword, the first were short manageable blades. We offer two
versions, the Roman Gladius and the English Short Sword
(pictured below). No culture did more to immortalize the
Short Sword than the Romans. The Romans went on to conquer
most of the ancient world with shield in one hand and
Gladius, or Short Sword, in the other. The Short Sword？s
history does not begin and end with Romans however. Many
cultures, through out the ages, adopted styles of fighting
that involved Short Swords either by itself or as a
companion to a larger sword and the short sword can still
be found today in military and ceremonial use,
